I have had a long career as a nurse. During my career, I have worked in emergency duty, intensive care, various wards and elderly care. I am currently at the end of my working life but have the desire to continue in nursing. I have also thought about working outside my hometown. I find it interesting when you can get to know different locations and work communities.
Nurses have the freedom to choose their work location in pretty much anywhere. The issue is actually the huge number of options and where to find the right and most comfortable workplace. After being recommended by a friend, I created a profile on MediMatcher and noticed how useful and rather fun the system was to use. I was able to scroll through different employers, while employers could familiarize themselves with my profile. The best thing is that this could all be done anonymously. You can think about different options in your own time.
I became very interested in a healthcare center of a small town. I expressed my interest, and soon the employer contacted me. They were – in fact – very interested in my work contribution. We agreed that I finish my current contract and then contact them again.
I kindly recommend MediMatcher for all healthcare professionals. You have the chance to get to know jobs in your own time, and if a workplace or location is interesting, you can contact the employer for more specific discussions. The truth is that the salaries are almost the same in every workplace. The decision is eventually made by how flexibly the employer reacts to employee wishes and what other workplace benefits are possibly offered. These are easy to discover with MediMatcher.
