The MediMatcher Vision Board brings together leading experts in healthcare. Participants include Heljä Lundgrén-Laine, Paula Alatalo, Antti Niemi, Paulus Torkki and Eetu Salunen – key and highly influential figures in strategic decision-making, research, workforce leadership, economics, impact and service delivery.
At the core of the Vision Board’s work is a holistic perspective. Workforce availability, retention and economics are not separate issues – they are interconnected in ways that require multiple perspectives to be understood simultaneously. When these perspectives are brought together, they generate insights and solutions that not only address today’s challenges but also build a sustainable foundation for the future.
The Vision Board is characterised by a shared willingness to develop the sector. The work is driven by the experts’ own interest and willingness to engage in dialogue where research, practice and leadership meet. This enables open and multidimensional thinking – where even complex questions can be explored from different angles and turned into solutions that truly work.
The composition is built on strong expertise and evolves as needed. In addition, guest experts participate depending on the topic and situation, ensuring that each discussion includes the most relevant perspectives.
The purpose of the MediMatcher Vision Board is simple but important: to ensure that the solutions being developed work in practice, are economically sustainable and support the future of healthcare as a whole. The fact that so many experienced experts in the field choose to contribute to this work reflects a shared understanding – this work matters.

MediMatcher Vision Board, November 2025: leading healthcare experts gathered around the same table – Heljä Lundgrén-Laine, Paula Alatalo, Antti Niemi, Paulus Torkki and Eetu Salunen. Sharp-eyed readers may notice something unusual in the photo – it was taken at the very end, so some participants were added afterwards.
